Fort Myers Residents to Vote on Park Upgrades

Staff Report / FMlocal.org

Residents of Fort Myers will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed General Obligation (G.O.) Bond that aims to fund upgrades to parks and recreation in the city. The G.O. Bond referendum will be included at the end of the ballot and is designed to provide financial support for the construction and improvement of 18 parks and facilities over the next decade.

The initiative is part of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which has been developed with input from the community and endorsed by local organizations. The plan focuses on revitalizing, connecting, expanding, and investing in recreational spaces throughout Fort Myers.

For more details on the G.O. Bond and its potential impact on the community, residents can visit the City of Fort Myers website at CityFtMyers.com/GOBond. Mayor Kevin Anderson encourages residents to learn more about the program and its benefits.
