During a recent city council meeting, Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson declared November 27 to December 4 as Farm-City Week. This proclamation is intended to honor the important role that agriculture plays in supporting both the city and the surrounding region.

Additionally, the city council acknowledged local community partners for their contributions in supporting the GO Bond, which aims to develop more green spaces throughout Fort Myers.
