**Fort Myers Fire Department Temporarily Suspends Emergency Response**

Fort Myers, FL - The Fort Myers Fire Department has announced a temporary pause in response calls due to high wind speeds. This decision was made to ensure the safety of first responders. Operations will resume once conditions are assessed to be safe.

During this time, residents are still able to call 911. Dispatchers will continue to monitor incoming calls and will backlog them, prioritizing emergencies to be addressed as soon as it is safe to do so.

The announcement was made through the department’s official Facebook page.
