Emergency Shelters Open for Hurricane Milton Evacuations

In preparation for Hurricane Milton, Lee County has opened 13 emergency shelters for residents seeking safety. Three of the open shelters in South Lee County are:

1. **Alico Arena**

Address: 12181 FGCU Lake Parkway East, Fort Myers

2. **Hertz Arena**

Address: 11000 Everblades Pkwy, Estero

3. **Estero Recreation Center**

Address: 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd, Estero

All shelters have the capacity to accept additional evacuees. Residents are encouraged to evacuate, as severe weather is anticipated to arrive in the area this afternoon or evening.
